The STS (Sonoma County Airport) commercial airport in North Bay recently completed their readiness training to strengthen coordinated responses capabilities. The Sonoma County Fire District worked closely with STS Airport personnel to participate with Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting training for readiness. The identified readiness training involved emergency medical first responders as well, and making sure all rescue teams are prepared for emergency situations at STS Airport. All rescue teams coordinated and maintained training elements for readiness, and become prepared at all times for emergency situations at STS Airport. Including response to aircraft emergency situations and coordinating with local agencies, and to ensure traveling passengers are well protected during emergencies.
