The SCT (Sonoma County Transit) services agency in North Bay is launching a new temporary transit routing service effective Sunday, April 12, 2026. The SCT new Route 51 bus line transit service is funded by MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) to become a transitional transit service. The new bus line Route 51 will accommodate recent transit changes, and reduction in Route 101 bus transit services in Sonoma County. The SCT new Route 51 transit service is during night hours to improve service connections within the region during evening hours. The transit agency identified temporary services for Route 51 will continue until Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The temporary transit services will accommodate passengers using Golden Gate Route 101, and making a convenient service connections in Novato for Sonoma County destinations.
