The MTC coordinating agency is opening therein Bike Champions of the Year nominations, and nominations will be closed on Sunday, March 1, 2026 and requesting all bicycle coalitions for assistance with nominations. The nine Bay Area counties within thereby San Francisco Bay Area will honor their own Bike Champion of the Year, and each county will select their own Bike Champion of the Year participants. The National Bike To Work Day is Friday, May 15, 2026 and the Bay Area will celebrate on Thursday, May 14, 2026 during therein Bike To Work/Wherever Day 2026.
