The California Strategic Growth Council awarded more than $272 million to assist with affordable housing projects, and transportation improvement projects in the Bay Area. The identified statewide funding awards will help communities in Santa Clara County, San Francisco County, and Alameda County projects for sustainability. The Bay Area community improvement projects will include climate resilience elements to protect farmlands, and encouraging local compact transit-oriented sustainable communities. Including local community projects convenient for schools, employment, public health, and local entertainment for families and children.
