The SamTrans (San Mateo County Transit District) services agency is celebrating their Transit Month with Rider Appreciation Events at West Bay locations. The SamTrans public transportation system operates seventy-four scheduling routes countywide, and specialized transit services for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) traveling passengers. The SamTrans public transit services started transporting passengers since 1976, and was awarded with thereby 2024 Outstanding Public Transportation System. The local transit agency was recognized by APTA (American Public Transportation Association) with therein honorary services award. The SamTrans Rider Appreciation Event will happen on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at thereby Daly City BART transit location, and downtown locations in Pacifica and Half Moon Bay.
