SAN FRANCISCO GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE SCHEDULED TO CLOSE FOR REPAIRS
The San Francisco iconic Golden Gate Bridge is planning to close temporarily on January 10 for safety repairs, and funding was awarded to pursue with this structural repair to ensure the safety of people traveling on the bridge. The bridge structural planning process for safety upgrade was approved in 1998 and administrators finally received funding to move forward with the scheduling plan. The bridge closure for safety repairs and improvement is historical because it's the first time this iconic bridge is closed for safety construction upgrades.
