WETA NEW RATES INCREASE WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) ferry services agency in West Bay is increasing passenger fees 3% effective Monday, July 1, 2024. The WETA Board of Directors approved thereby ferry fares increase for traveling passengers in the Bay Area. The ferry traveling passengers using Clipper START cards will get 50% discount, as well as youth, seniors, and passengers with disability. The WETA ferry services for traveling passengers under five years of age will remain free, and fares for passengers using Short Hop will remain the same.
