SAN FRANCISCO SFMTA CONSIDERING MORE SAFETY IMPROVEMENT IN BAY AREA

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is considering more safety improvement projects for local pedestrian safety. During the past month, a 90 year old senior was going on his daily activities and was struck and killed by a car on Fell and Baker crosswalk streets. Some local residents are saying, "what happened to The Vision Zero initiative because that's suppose to become a prevention approach." The local reports identify seniors to become 5 times more likely to die during a traffic collision than other demographic populations. The SFMTA is working closely with local agencies to educate local senior populations regarding safety elements within the city. The SFMTA has implemented many miles of improvement projects aligned with Vision Zero initiative to become more effective. The reports identifies 30 traffic deaths in 2016, 31 during 2014/2015, and 17 since August 2017.

"We are in the process of redesigning streets with high concentration of vehicular crashes along Market, Geary, and Mission as well as other streets," said Ed Reiskin, SFMTA Director of Transportation. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
