SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA TAXES TO FUND TRANSPORTATION

Effective today, April 1, 2015 some San Francisco Bay Area cities will pay more taxes due to state legislation regarding statewide sales tax rates. The state sales tax rate is 7.5 percent and some cities and counties including Alameda and El Cerrito will pay 9.5 to 10 percent sales taxes. The local voters approved to add 2.5 percent sales tax and Alameda county approved a half-cent increase for 30 years. This initiative will help fund improvements for local transportation for people especially working class people. Some people are saying, "that's why they call California the "Golden State" because of all types of taxes."

"Sometimes we pay many taxes and politicians with lobbying people are getting rich every time, and middle-class working people keeps on working," said Christopher Swanson, local city worker in San Francisco. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
