MISSION BAY FERRY TERMINAL IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The ongoing developments in San Francisco is raising more needs for transportation to ease traffic congestion on roadways and highways within San Francisco Bay Area. The UCSF Mission Bay hospital campus, pending Warriors Arena, including more housing developments will come with more local traffic issues. The San Francisco Port Commission was able to hear a proposal for a Mission Bay Ferry Terminal, and transporting approximately 10,000 passengers to Mission Bay Terminal per day. Currently, San Francisco ferries are docked at Fisherman's Wharf and San Francisco Ferry Building for ferry commuting passengers. The new terminal proposal may cost between $32.5 and $42.7 to construct the Mission Bay Ferry Terminal, and San Francisco Port Commission officials are hoping to open during 2022.
