The State of California Governor Jerry Brown proposed his $122.6 billion new fiscal year budget, and plans to raise $2 billion for transportation funding. The proposal of $3.6 billion spending within a year is less than experts estimated on what the state would invest. The identified funding revenues will be raised from new state vehicle registration fees, including increase gasoline and diesel taxes to generate $1 billion annually. Because the funding from Facebook will be utilized by San Mateo County Transportation Authority for improvement along Dumbarton Bridge area.
