BART TRAIN STATION SHUTDOWN IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The police investigated a suspicious package found at 19th Street BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station in Oakland during commuting hours this morning on Tuesday. The BART station was closed temporarily until it was clear to operate because of the suspicious package investigation. Transit shuttle buses were provided for passengers during BART closing time and dogs were provided by police to determine the package for assurance. Passengers were informed to enter from a different location to enter shuttle buses for alternative transportation. The BART station was cleared to reopen around 11:35 AM and commuting passengers were assured their safety after the investigation.
