ADVOCACY FOR UNIVERSITY TRANSIT PASSES IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

San Francisco State University students are advocating for transportation passes on San Francisco Muni and BART transit because of costly traveling amounts for students. A student traveling from Fairfax to San Francisco State University cost him/her $6 one-way everyday not including local San Francisco Muni transportation. The perception of students is to have Muni traveling fees included in tuition fees as part of their agreement with administration after lengthy discussions. During this year in February, Congresswoman Jackie Speier facilitated a meeting with student representatives, BART administration, President Leslie Wong, Mayor Ed Lee, and San Francisco Supervisor Scott Weiner for a reasonable transportation resolution for university students.

"A petition is in place with a lot of work to be implemented and students would consider voting for the best approach before the year end," said Miguel Guerrero, Student Sustainability Coordinator. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
